Book Clubs

Many libraries will have conference room(s) to where a book club can meet, and discuss the book that the group is interested in. This is intended to provide a safe space for everyone to get together without interfering with the patron by meeting at their residence. It would be recommended that the patrons have an eBook reader which will be fewer heavy items to carry. A eBook reader will likely weigh less than a hardbound book, while offering their own library worth of eBooks. There is also the choice of nostalgia for those that would want a physical book.

The Book Store will sell both physical, and eBooks to the patrons. This will ensure that the patron will be able to provide contribution on their part about the book. And while eBooks will have that higher initial investment, the eBook reader will likely be affordable to anyone that is receiving GBI from the government. A KCI A Series Reader will cost about $150, and that should be affordable even if the patron will have to wait for a few months. Also, any student will also have an eBook reader as part of their education. The only limit is the storage card the patron has in their reader, but even a very small 8GB card will hold thousands of eBooks.
